Ralph Dean Hilsmeyer, age 90, of Holland, passed away at 1:05 a.m.,Monday, May 2, 2016, at Brookside Village in Jasper.

Ralph Hilsmeyer637            He was born August 31, 1925, in Holland, Indiana to John and Violet (Rauscher) Hilsmeyer.  Mr. Hilsmeyer was employed at Holland Dairy for 45 years and retired as a Branch Manager.  He was a Navy veteran of World War II; a member of the Holland United Methodist Church and Holland American Legion Post #343; was an avid sports enthusiast who followed the Dodgers, Cardinals, and I.U. sports; and loved watching his grandchildren in their sporting endeavors.  Mr. Hilsmeyer was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee Marie (Hollander) Hilsmeyer, who died April 10, 1998; and one sister, Dorothy Partenheimer.

He is survived by:  one son and daughter-in-law, Tom (Carolyn) Hilsmeyer of Jasper; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheryl (Tim) Hilsmeyer of Stendal, Jayne McKain of Evansville and Denise (Keith) Oser of Holland; one brother, Russ Hilsmeyer of Holland; three sisters, Joan Hilsmeyer of Holland, Doris Partenheimer of Holland and Alice Coleman of Washington; seven grandchildren, Bryan (Lindsy) McKain of Boonville, Ryan (Meagan) McKain of Evansville, Jamie (Ryan) McKain Crick of New Albany, Justin Hilsmeyer of Holland, Brooke (Ryan) Hilsmeyer Harris of San Jose, CA, McKenzie Hilsmeyer of Jasper and Kate Oser of Holland; and five great grandchildren, Jaxon McKain, Brie McKain, Nolan Harris, Harrison Crick and Houston Crick.

Funeral services for Ralph D. Hilsmeyer will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., onSaturday, May 7, 2016, at the Holland United Methodist Church in Holland with burial to follow at Dale Cemetery in Dale, Indiana.  The Holland American Legion Post #343 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites and Rev. Keith Chanley will officiate at the funeral service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Friday; and also at the Holland United Methodist Church one hour prior to the funeral Saturday morning.  Condolences may be shared with the family online at:  www.nassandson.com.
