Rebecca Darlene Wright, age 56, of Birdseye, passed away at 3:40 p.m., on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Rebecca Wright Obituary Photo661_edited-1She was born August 13, 1959, in New Albany, Indiana to Guido and Mary (Brown) Wright. Rebecca worked at Jasper Engines and Transmissions; was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Birdseye; and dearly loved her dog, “Socrates”. She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother, Ronnie Smith.

She is survived by:

One daughter,

Carmen Groves of Birdseye, Ind.;

One son,

Jeremy Morris of Milltown, Ind.;

Her mother,

Mary Wright of Mitchell, Ind.;

One sister,

Ginger Scott of Mitchell, Ind.;

by (4) grandchildren and (4) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Rebecca Wright will be held at 12:00 noon, E.D.T., on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery near Birdseye. Pastor Bret Eckert will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, on Saturday, the day of the funeral. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com.
