One person is dead after a crash involving an ATV and another vehicle in Spencer County.
Aurthorities say 58-year-old Larry Winkler died from injuries he sustained when a car hit his ATV.
They say Winkler was trying to cross the road from County Road 550N onto Highland Road. He failed to see the car and was hit.
He was taken to Owensboro Mercy Hospital for his injuries. Police say when he arrived he was pronounced dead.
The ATV accident took place Wednesday afternoon, around 4:30 CDT, at the intersection of County Road 550 North and Highland Road, about nine miles north of Rockport.
Deputies say theWinkler pulled out in front of a car that was headed north on Highland Road.
The crash is under investigation.
