Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that resulted in hospitalization of an Otwell man.

Conservation Officers say 30-year old Jacob Kaeck of Otwell was ejected from his ATV after hitting a rut on a dirt road. He was later discovered by other ATV riders and taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

Kaeck suffered a wrist injury in the accident which occurred on private property. Conservation Officers were dispatched to the hospital around 5 pm Sunday.

Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor and Indiana Conservation Officers are still investigating the accident.

No ATV safety gear was worn, which Indiana Conservation Officers strongly recommend.
