Just after 7:30 am Monday, a trooper was traveling along Mill Street near 14th in Jasper when he observed a woman yelling at another male. The trooper stopped to check on the woman, 29 year old Lindsay Weaver of Saint Anthony and determined that she was ok and had a place to go. Police say the trooper and Weaver both left the area.

Now nearly 40 minutes after speaking with Weaver, another report of a disturbance was made, this time occurring at the nearby corner of 14th and Leopold Streets. When police arrived, and again found Weaver causing a disturbance at a residence, the trooper learned that Weaver had missed a court appearance Monday morning in Orange County, and later found that Weaver was wanted for failing to appear in court.

As Weaver was placed into handcuffs, a small container containing Xanex pills fell from her person. Police found that Weaver was illegally possessing the Schedule IV controlled substance.

Weaver was taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center without incident on a Class A Misdemeanor charge of possession of a Schedule 4 substance. State Police were assisted at the scene by officers with the Jasper Police Department.
