What started as a local drug investigation in Perry County ended with criminal cases and arrests in multiple states.

Back on Tuesday, July 12th a trooper with the Indiana State Police and an officer with the Tell City Police Department received information about possible drug activity and began an investigation.

Three days later on Friday July 15th, after obtaining enough probable cause, The two received a search warrant through Perry County Circuit Court to search a home located at the 1600 block of Main Street in Tell City.

While executing the search warrant, officers found methamphetamine, marijuana, hypodermic needles, and numerous drug paraphernalia items.

Also a scooter that had been reported as stolen to the Tell City Police was also found.

Police say four individuals living in the residence, including a 17 year old juvenile, were arrested.

As the investigation continued, state police learned of a possible methamphetamine lab and marijuana grow in Hancock County, Kentucky.

State police worked with a deputy with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department and obtained a search warrant for the Kentucky residence.

Authorities say items and precursors involved in manufacturing methamphetamine, as well as marijuana plants, were found in the residence. On Tuesday, July 19th, Hancock County authorities arrested both suspects connected to the Kentucky investigation.

The case remains under investigation with additional arrests possible.

Those arrested and charged on multiple counts include:

  • 20-year old Dakota Rock of Tell City who faces counts of Possession of Methamphetamine,
    Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana and Illegal Possession of Alcohol.
  • 27-year old Thomas Hubert of Tell City. He’s looking at Possession of Methamphetamine, – Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana.
  • And 21-year old Michael Faucet of Tell City who is charged with Possession of Paraphernalia.

A 17-year old Juvenile is also being charged in the case.

All adults were taken to and booked into the Perry County Jail.
