A Jasper man faces a number of charges including drug possession after his arrest at a Jasper retailer early Monday night.

Just after 6:30 last night Jasper Police were called to the Dollar Tree store located in the Southgate Shopping Center on the city’s near southside after authorities received multiple calls about an intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance in the area.

Police were told that a man later identified as 31-year old Anthony Maiden of Jasper had been in the store and was loud and disruptive before going into the shopping center parking lot and urinating on a parked car.

Police were told Maiden was last seen walking in a roadway in the area.

Officers eventually located Maiden who admitted to police the actions he was accused of.

He agreed to submit to a portable breath test which found his blood alcohol content at .189 percent.

Police also found Marijuana in his possession.

He was taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center on charges of Possession of Marijuana, public Intoxication and disorderly conduct.
