The Indiana Department of Transportation will be providing traffic control support for Hoosier Southern Railroad as they repair a crossing in the Gentryville area, beginning Monday, Aug. 22.

State Road 162 between U.S. 231 and State Road 62 will be closed for approximately a week while crews repair the crossing located between County Roads 300 East and 1600 North.

INDOT says this location is just west of U.S. 231, close to the North Spencer School Corporation campus.

Now during the closure, local traffic will have access. The official detour uses 231 and State Road 62. The closure will be in place around the clock. INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
