Early Wednesday morning a two car vehicle crash along Interstate 64 at mile marker 107 in Harrison County claimed the life of a Crawford County woman. Indiana State Police report at about a 12:45 a.m. 41-year old Diana Watson English was westbound on I-64, when her mid sized pick-up truck veered into the median. Watson then over corrected causing the truck to travel across the interstate and veering off the north side of the roadway, striking a rock wall and coming to rest partially in the driving lane. As the vehicle rolled, Watson was ejected from the truck.

Watsons truck was then struck by a traveling westbound vehicle driven by 65-year old Joseph Gilley of Washington. Watson was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Gilley was not hurt.

 

The interstate’s westbound lanes were closed for a short period of time while the crash was processed. Indiana State Police are investigating the accident.
