Back on September 12th the Greater Jasper Consolidated School Corporation received recognition for the District-Wide Accreditation with AdvancED.  Monday night Assistant Superintendent Todd Hitchcock announced the recognition during the Jasper school board’s monthly meeting. Hitchcock says he would like to have a program officially adopted by the board.

Hitchcock was hired into his new position back in mid April and stated that from what he has observed the program would be beneficial to students.  Also last night Greater Jasper Schools Superintendent Dr. Tracey Lorey presented the final proposal to the board as they looked to approve the corporation’s 2017 Budget.  The proposed budget was approved and signed by all board members. It will now be sent to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance which will determine the corporation’s final budget numbers which will be released in December.
