Rain or shine the Otwell Demolition Derby starts tonight at 7 p.m. with concessions opening at 6 p.m. There will be no fire works this year due to the scheduled harvest but the derby promises some big hits. This is a great fund raising event and the Otwell Ruritan organization encourages the community to come out and support one another and have some good old mid-west fun.  Tina Wiseman describes that this is an event for the community to serve in philanthropic ways.

Wiseman is a former educator and says she enjoys being part of an organization that gives back by awarding two, one thousand dollar scholarships. Wiseman also shared her hopes that future generations will continue to love and be proud of the towns they were raised in.
