A Bloomfield School District teacher is facing a Level 5 felony charge of child solicitation and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful communication with a student.

Bloomfield police arrested Bloomfield High School Biology teacher 36-year-old Franklin Hall of Oaktown on Thursday night.

Hall is accused of having sexual encounters with a student and having inappropriate conversations via social media.

Jail records indicate Hall was held on $22,000 bond with 10 percent allowed, with the bond paid as of Friday morning.

As of Friday morning, the probable cause affidavit for this case had not yet been filed.

Bloomfield Town Marshal Kenny Tharp says if anyone has any additional information regarding the allegations against Hall, to contact him through the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at (812) 384-4411.
