Dubois County officials say that due to the continuing drought conditions throughout the county The Dubois County Board of Commissioners at the recommendation of the twelve Dubois County Fire Chiefs have put into place a Burn Ban effective immediately.

As a result of the ban residents are not allowed to have open burning of any kind using conventional fuel such as wood or other combustible matter, with the exception of grills fueled by charcoal briquettes or propane

Also the burning of debris, such as timber or vegetation, including such debris that results from building construction activities and campfires and other recreational fires are prohibited.
