The MudSlinger Trail Run was held this past Saturday at the Ferdinand State Forest with over 150 people participating. With the weather cooperating and a great turn out, this year was another success.

This was Tri-caps 4th year featuring the annual event and hosting a trail run the length of a half marathon along with a shorter 6k run/walk.

Proceeds from the event went to Tri-cap. The locally raised funds are used to match federal funding Tri-cap receives. The overall winner with the fastest finishing time of the half marathon, which is 13.1 miles, went to Dustin Betz with a finishing time of 1 hour 21 minutes and 11 seconds.
