Damian J. Schepers, age 85 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 4:53 a.m. on Thursday (December 22, 2016) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Damian was born in Celestine, Indiana on June 24, 1931 to Raymond and Theresia (Seger) Schepers.

Damian graduated high school from St. Meinrad Archabbey.

He worked at several feed mills in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and Georgia, and was a farm supervisor at several large farms in those states. He returned to Indiana and was employed at Stens full time for several years as a supervisor and retired in 1996.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, IN and the Jasper Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed baseball, basketball, and football. He was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. He liked family gatherings and visiting relatives.

Preceding him in death were brothers; Marcus, Elmer, Edgar, Thomas, and Jerome Schepers, sister Clara Mae Streigel and sister Mary Lou Schepers who died in infancy.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Damian J. Schepers will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (December 27, 2016) at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. Celestine cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Tuesday (December 27, 2016) at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Indiana.
