Gail S. Cartwright, age 61, of Celestine, Indiana, passed away at 1:58 a.m. on Tuesday (December 27, 2016) in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

Gail was born on April 20, 1955 in Wilmington, Delaware to Walter and Joan (Drischler) Steinbauer. She married Jack Cartwright on February 18, 1982.

She previously taught art for the Southwest Dubois Elementary Schools.

She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and granddaughter.

Funeral services for Gail S. Cartwright will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (December 30, 2016) at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at a later date. Ely Cartwright will officiate.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Northwest Haiti Christian Mission or to a favorite charity.
