Troopers with the Indiana State Police were kept busy over the weekend thanks to the not so ideal driving conditions that were the result of icy roads across the state.

State Police say over the 24 hour period of time starting at 10 pm Friday thru 10 o’clock Saturday night, the Indiana State Police responded to:

442 Property Damage Crashes

77 Personal Injury Crashes

2 Separate Fatal Crashes with one death at each crash

206 Slide Offs

and 258 Assist Motorist Calls

Over the course of the 24 hour period seven ISP police vehicles were also struck.
