Sheriff Charlie McDaniel of Crawford County has passed away. The department announced that Sheriff McDaniel who had been ill for the last several months died on Friday.
No other details are available at this time. McDaniel a former Indiana State Police Trooper was in his first term as sheriff and was first elected in 2014.
