Just after 2 P.M. a Jasper Police officer observed a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro traveling at a high rate of speed and left of the center line. The Camaro was heading north on 3rd street near mill street.

The officer initiated a traffic stop. The driver of the 2016 Camaro was identified as 21 year old Steven Lang of Eckerty. Lang was thought to be impaired and was taken to Memorial Hospital for Chemical Test. Lang was not taken to the Dubois County Security Center instead he was kept at Memorial for medical reasons.

Lang is being charged with OWI under a Controlled Substance/ Possession of paraphernalia and of a schedule 2 substance, along with possession of a firearm without a permit and a charge of criminal recklessness with a vehicle.
