A Huntingburg man authorities say was acting unruly in a Huntingburg convenience store early this morning was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

Around 2:30 this morning, Huntingburg Police were called to Huck’s located along the 500 block of East 7th Street to the report of an intoxicated male in the store.

When they arrived police observed Eric Petry of Huntingburg throwing items in the store.

While conversing with Petry officers could tell he was under the influence. They say he tested with a .19 percent blood alcohol content.
He was taken and booked to the Dubois County Security Center in Jasper on a charge of Public Intoxication.
