Last night at around 6:51 PM, a Jasper Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for false/fictitious plates.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the female passenger in the vehicle, who was found to be Betty Swaney of Tell City, was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Swaney was taken into custody and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center. Swaney was charged with possession of paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor.
