A new contest will be added for the annual Strassenfest Autolauf, set for Saturday August 5th in Jasper. Sponsored by the Jasper Rotary, the event starts in the parking lot behind the Days Inn, 272 Brucke Strasse in Jasper. Check-in begins at 9:30AM with the first car out at 12 noon.
The Autolauf is a road rally that is open to all types of cars and motor vehicles. The event is not a race but a rally where accuracy, and timing wins the event. Participants will be given a set of clues and will travel throughout the area and receive clues for a scavenger hunt at each of the designated check points. Entry fee is $20 per vehicle. The event is co-sponsored by Nick Schnarr, financial adviser, Edward Jones.
Cash awards of $100 each will be provided for Scavenger Hunt winner, Best Time and Best Decorated Vehicle. Complete details can be found at www.jasperstrassenfest.org under “Events Registration Forms.”
