A Dubois man was taken into custody after his involvement in an alleged domestic incident that took place in the Dubois area Monday evening

Just before 6 pm Monday deputies with the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department were called to the report of a domestic situation involving strangulation.

Deputies say when they arrived they made contact with a female victim who had red, swollen eyes and red marks on her neck, which also appeared swollen.

23-year old Daniel Riddell was placed under arrest for his alldged actions in the incident.

Riddell is also acused of blocking a door that the victim was trying to exit.

Riddell was booked into the Dubois County Security Center on Level 6 felony counts of domestic battery, strangulation and criminal confinement.
