Last night Memorial Hospital staff called police after facing a combative patient.

Jasper City Police were dispatched to Memorial Hospital just before 5 pm yesterday afternoon, as Memorial staff had reported they were facing a combative patient.

Upon arrival to the hospital police, found 19-year old Josey Wales Shelton of Taswell, had battered two memorial hospital staff members. As one staff member was punched in the chest and chin and the additional staff member was held against her will and was wrestled with by Shelton.

Police took 19-year old Shelton into custody, who was then lodged into the Dubois County Security Center and charged with battery and criminal confinement.
