Hosparus Health of Southern Indiana recently began offering comprehensive advanced illness care in a number of counties including Dubois, Orange and Perry counties.

The nonprofit hospice provider needs patient support volunteers in those areas and will offer free training in October.

Those interested are invited to choose the time and location that is most convenient:

10 am till 5 pm Thursday, October 12th at the Jasper Public Library,

10 am till 5 pm Tuesday, October 17th at Melton Public Library in French Lick;

and 10 am till 5 pm Thursday, October 19th at the Tell City Public Library.

Snacks and lunch will be provided at each site. To register, contact Vonya Gresham at vgresham@hosparus.org or call 812-542-2809.

In addition to helping with patient and family support, Hosparus Health volunteers may assist with administrative duties, bereavement care, outreach, fundraising and special events.

Volunteers must have available transportation and complete training and an application process.
