A Celestine woman has decided that she will seek the democratic nomination for the office of Dubois County Recorder in the May 2018 primary.

57-year old Gail Reutman has served the last four years as the first deputy recorder in the recorder’s office. Prior to that she worked at Dubois County Title.

The chief function of the recorder’s office is to preserve and maintain public records.

In the last four years, the recorder’s office has scanned older records, making the documents more accessible and available for online viewing.

Reutman is a member of the Indiana Association of County Recorders and has attended numerous educational classes related to the recorder’s office.

She and her husband “Rudy” have two children.

She is a member of the Celestine Campus of St. Isidore Catholic Church where she has taught religious instruction to 9th graders for 14 years.

With the experience and knowledge she has gained over the last few years, Reutman says she feels now is the time to run for Dubois County Recorder.
She says helping the public and assisting them with the different aspects of the office is very rewarding and looks forward to continuing her service to the public if elected.
