Yesterday evening around 6:00 PM, Jasper Police Department was notified about a suspicious person in the area of 15th and Greene Street. Officers located 53-year-old Charles Morrison of Jasper at the Circle A gas station at 1402 N Newton Street.

Upon making contact with the subject in his vehicle, an odor of marijuana omitted from the vehicle. An open air sniff of the vehicle was performed by Jasper Police Departments K9 Ares, on which he indicated to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.

A search was conducted. Located inside the vehicle was 1 gram of methamphetamine, 2 grams of marijuana, a scale, 2 glass smoking pipes, and a box with several plastic bags.

Morrison was transported to the Dubois County Security Center on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
