Officials with the Jasper Street Department want to alert Jasper residents that next week beginning Monday December 18th will be the final week for Bulk Leaf Collection by the Street Department.

The department says the final day of pickup will be next Thursday December 21st since the street department will be closed Friday the 22nd in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Bulk leaves will continue to be picked up on residents regular trash day until Thursday the 21st. After which, all leaves must be bagged or put into containers prior to being picked up by the Street Department.

Also, beginning Tuesday December 26th (the first day back from the Holidays) leaves that are bagged will be picked up on Yard Waste Days, which are 13th Street and South Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday’s and neighborhoods north of 13th Street, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday mornings.

The department notes that in the event that your leaves are not picked up on the designated day, due to heavy collection or any other unforeseen event, they will be picked up as soon as possible.
