Colleen J. Weigel, age 84, of Huntingburg, passed away at 12:40 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at the Newburgh Health Care Center in Newburgh, Indiana.

She was born February 6, 1933, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Earl and Margaret (Kemper) Frick; and married James W. Weigel on February 16, 1957, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township.  Colleen was a homemaker and member of Salem United Church of Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Weigel, who died June 10, 2017; and one son, Bill Weigel.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Kent (Suzanne) Weigel of Newburgh and Rodney (Doris) Weigel of Huntingburg; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Weigel (Mark) Theising of Schnellville; by (6) grandchildren and (4) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Colleen Weigel will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Monday, January 22, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.  Pastor Mark West will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., on Monday, the day of the service.  Memorial contributions can be made to Salem United Church of Christ’s music fund.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
