Early this morning around 3:30 a.m. Huntingburg officers were contacted by a 17 year old male at the police station about a battery that took place at 403 E. 1st Avenue, Huntingburg.

Police responded to the residence and detained the suspect 37-year old Jorge Candelario Aristeo.
Officers were able to speak with the victims, who refused medical attention and took their statements.

Aristeo was transported to the police station for further investigation and was later placed under arrest for 2 Counts of Domestic Battery (Level 6 Felony) and 2 Counts of Strangulation (Level 6 Felony).

Aristeo was transported and lodged into the Dubois County Security Center, where he is being held on bond.
