The Dubois County Emergency Management Agency is holding their annual Weather Radio Programming Drive this Saturday at the Jasper Rural King.

NOAA weather radio operates 24 hours a day and is a reliable source of timely weather information such as severe weather, Tornado Watches and Tornado Warnings. The advanced alerts provided by this service can be a life saver.

Many weather radios currently on the market have Specific Area Message Encoding capability allowing users to choose the counties for which they want to receive weather watches and warnings.

The Dubois County Emergency Management Agency will be holding a NOAA Weather Radio
Programming Drive tomorrow, Saturday, March 17th at the Jasper Rural King store from 10 am till 2 pm.

During this event you can bring your NOAA weather radio to Rural King and Dubois County Emergency Management volunteers will program your weather radio for you free of charge.

They ask that you please bring the manual that came with your radio as well as batteries.

For more information, please contact Deputy Director Gary Fritz at the Dubois County Emergency Management Agency at (812) 482-2202.
