This years 2018 Little Miss Shamrock was held this Sunday and saw 11 contest compete for the title.
First runner up in the contest was Sophie Schnarr. The contest is a prelude to a weekend worth of events the town of Ireland host in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.
Ella Leinenbach took home the top honor of 2018 Little Miss Shamrock.
On Friday the town celebrated the Honorary Mayor for a Day with Rich and Betty Edwards which was followed by ‘Flip the Switch’ lighting up Ireland as street lights illuminated the little town with green. Today will see the judging in the home-lighting contest.
And celebrations will pick back up Friday March 16th with the St. Mary Church Fish Fry followed by a weekend’s worth of Irish Celebrations.
