A juvenile suffered injuries Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Jasper’s Eastside.

Jasper Police say that around 4:45 pm Wednesday a passenger car, driven by 58-year-old Michelle Campbell-Rutemueller of Dubois was headed eastbound on 15th Street, approaching Franklin. Rutemueller told police that a juvenile ran into the roadway and into her path and that she could not avoid striking the child with her vehicle.

Police say witnesses at the scene confirmed the events.

The juvenile was taken to Memorial Hospital after complaining of arm and neck pain.

No charges were filed.
