A woman was arrested in Jasper yesterday after police found evidence of domestic battery involving a young child.

45-year-old Ingris Lopez was arrested on Monday afternoon following an investigation into a domestic battery involving a young child. Allegations of domestic battery were brought to the attention of detectives with the Jasper Police Department by the Dubois County Department of Child Services.

Jasper Police Detectives determined there was enough probable cause to make an arrest.

Lopez is facing a charge of Domestic Battery a level 6 felony. She was taken to and lodged at the Dubois County security Center.

Jasper Police were assisted by DCS Child Advocacy Center and the Dubois County Prosecutor’s Office.
