Officials with the City of Huntingburg say the city’s Utility Department is currently in the process of conducting an annual gas leak survey.

The survey which kicked off on Monday is required by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission and is expected to take up to two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

The survey is used to check systems for gas leaks. Residents may notice city workers in yards, alleys and roads.

Once again customers of the City of Huntingburg Utilities be aware that the department is currently in the process of conducting an annual gas leak survey.

Survey areas include: Ireland; Holland; the Huntingburg Business District of 4th Street, and along US Highway 231.

Residents are asked to please proceed with caution while in the area.
