The City of Jasper hosted a second public workshop that focused on the vision, goals, and strategies for the Impact Jasper Comprehensive Plan.

The comprehensive plan is a plan that examines future possibilities and establishes a defined directioon for the comprehensive plan will help implement new programs and policies for the city, create yearly budgets, and will be used for tools and funding sources that are available for implementing recommendations.

Renee Kabrick, the Attorney for the City of Jasper, said that already many steps have been taken to turn Jasper into a regional hub.

The workshop saw patrons from across the city step into the Parklands Pavillion where they could tell the city first hand what they wanted to see for the future of Jasper, through different surveys.

Across the Pavillion was representatives to help those learn about the plan. Several boards were left up with suggestions already taken from city in the past. Here they would be able to pinpoint where they would want to put focus on through the use of sticker surveys and writing down specifics of what they would want to see.

Kabrick says that it is important for the community to come out to these events so they can have a say in what goes on in their community

Each board showed focused on something different, splitting the focuses to the economy, community, legacy, and livablity. From there it was broken down farther to focues on Community features, trends, goals, quality of life, transportation, and other areas.
