           Dereck W. Blocker, age 49, of Huntingburg, passed away at 5:28 a.m., on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.

            He was born July 10, 1969, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Thomas and Joanne (Dearing) Blocker; and married Amy D. Alexander on February 17, 1996, in Evansville.  Dereck was an avid KISS fan and sports cards collector.  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Blocker; and brother, Randy Kemp.

            He is survived by his wife, Amy D. Blocker of Huntingburg; five children, Nick (Dominique) Byers of Boonville, Corey (Ashley) Boyer of Jasper, Jonathan Blocker of Bicknell, Joshua Blocker of Huntingburg and Zakk Blocker of Huntingburg; his mother, Joanne Blocker of Huntingburg; one brother, Darin S. Kemp of Huntingburg; five half sisters, Mary Blocker of Owensboro, Connie Blocker of South Carolina, Kimberly Durham of Pennsylvania, Gail Inman of Colorado and Jane Jennings of Utah; and three grandchildren.

            Funeral services for Dereck Blocker will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery located in Huntingburg.

            Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., on Sunday, the day of the service.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
