Rockport sworn in two reserve officers on Saturday, which included Officer Holley and Officer Jeremy Spencer. If you’re a fan of heavy metal and Officer Spencer looks familiar, you may remember him from the band Five Finger Death Punch.

After leaving the band in 2018, the former founding drummer passed the Pre-Basic course of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Rockport Chief of Police Jason Overfield, says Spencer has been welcomed into the department.

Spencer grew up in Warrick County, where he graduated from Boonville High School.

Spencer, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, says it’s an honor to come back to the area when he can and serve the community as a reserve officer.
