Following a recent vote from both the Huntingburg and Ferdinand Chamber Board of Directors, a decision was made to move forward to merge into a single organization. After reviewing results compiled by an exploratory process, the Board of Directors for both chambers felt confident a new organization will be of tremendous value for Dubois County businesses.

The new chamber, which has not been named, is expected to begin operation January 1, 2020. A transition committee is being formed to help determine an official name, board structure, and mission. This committee will also be tasked with finding a new executive director.

The Huntingburg Chamber board accepted the resignation of Executive Director Sara Schroeder effective December 31, 2019. Schroeder will continue to oversee the organization along with the current board. The Ferdinand Chamber will also be guided by their current board till the end of the year.
