The Four Rivers Forestry Committee invites you to have breakfast with a forester on Friday, July 19 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM EDT. Join Travis Dunn, IDNR District Forester and Doug Brown, ACF, with Multi-Resource Management for an informal breakfast at Denny’s Restaurant, 3850 Newton St, on the north side of Jasper. Bring your friends and neighbors, and discuss issues you may be having in your forested areas.

The foresters will be available for conversation and questions. Everyone is welcome, and no reservations are needed. Walk in any time between 8:30 and 9:30 AM and join the conversation. There will be no charge, other than paying for the breakfast you order.

District Foresters from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Forestry are professionally trained to manage forestland. A District Forester can help you start the management of your forested land by visiting your woods and recommending the best course of action to meet your goals. The foresters administer both state and federal programs that provide technical assistance, property tax incentives, and cost-sharing incentives for sustainable management. There is no cost associated with the services of a District Forester.

Multi-Resource Management assists forest landowners in managing and maintaining a healthy and productive forest ecosystem while providing a sustainable supply of high-quality hardwood timber from their forest. Multi-Resource Management’s foresters are private consultant foresters; they provide professional forestry services and their fees are paid for by the landowners who hire them.

Breakfast with a Forester is sponsored by the Four Rivers Forestry Committee. A variety of foresters, including the IDNR District Foresters, Purdue Extension foresters, industry, and consulting foresters will be present at the breakfast, depending on the month. Locations will vary. Call (812) 482-1171 Ext. 3446 with questions.
