A man has been arrested after a deadly shooting in Warrick County over the weekend.

According to the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old David Dunn of Petersburg is charged with voluntary manslaughter.

The shooting occurred Sunday night at a house on Nobles Chapel Road a little after 11 pm, after a verbal argument.

Dunn called 911, identified himself as the shooter and said he would stay on scene until deputies arrived.

Once on the scene, deputies found 39-year-old Joshua Nolan of Winslow with a single gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Dunn was taken into custody without any further incident.

An autopsy is scheduled for later this afternoon.

An overnight shooting in Warrick County resulted in one person dead.

Warrick County Officials got reports of a shooting on Nobles Chapel Road at around 11:00 PM last night.

It has been confirmed that one person is dead and one has been detained.

The investigation is ongoing.
