Police responded to a single-vehicle crash late this morning.

The accident happened at 10 am on County Road 350 West, North of Schuetter Road.

Philip Hafele of Jasper was hauling a load of rock in a 2012 International Truck when he ran off the right side of the road.

Once off the roadway, Hafele tried to correct to the left but overcorrected by driving over both lanes of travel.

The truck then flipped over on the driver’s side, and the rock partially spilled out, blocking the roadway.

Hafele refused medical care at the scene. The truck was totaled.

Deputies were assisted by the Jasper Police Department, Memorial EMS, and a wrecker from Storks and Uebelhors.
