The cause of death for an explosive handler for the Crane Army Ammunition Activity has been released.

According to a press release sent out by Crane, 70-year-old Danny Compton died from natural causes at the IU Bloomington Health Hospital on August 6th.

Compton worked in Depot Operations Directorate for CAAA. During his normal work routine, he fainted and was found unresponsive according to initial reports.

Crew members working alongside Compton immediately called 911 and conducted CPR.

Compton was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Compton, a native of Mitchell, Indiana, has been part of the Crane Amy organization since 2008.
