A Jasper man is behind bars after domestic dispute early Wednesday morning.

The Jasper Police Department responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the city around 4:50 am Wednesday.

Police say a female plaintiff had visible injuries at the scene.

According to officers, the woman was trying to help a juvenile at the scene contact police during the incident.

After investigating, 32-year-old Yordany Salvador was taken into custody.

Salvador was booked into the Dubois County Security Center yesterday afternoon on preliminary Level 6 felony counts of domestic battery, strangulation, and criminal confinement.
