A Jasper man is facing Operating While Intoxicated and Possession charges.

Just before 1:00 this morning, the Jasper Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Kellerville Road and Cathy Lane due to a stop sign violation.

The driver, identified as 23-year-old Orlando Turcios Martinez, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. His blood alcohol content later tested .089%.

Police searched Martinez’s vehicle and allegedly found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Martinez was booked into the Dubois County Center on preliminary charges of OWI, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
