The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a lane closure shift for State Road 545 in northeastern Dubois for a bridge rehab project.

Beginning on or around Tuesday, Aug. 13, contractors will begin phase two of the project to rehabilitate the bridge spanning the Patoka River on S.R. 545 about 2.5 miles south of S.R. 56. During the first phase, the northbound lane has been closed for joint replacement and the southbound lane will be restricted to a 12-foot lane. During phase two the southbound lane will be closed and the northbound lane restricted to one 12-foot lane.

While the project is active, the restrictions will be in place around the clock. Work is expected to last until the beginning of September, weather permitting.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
