An Odon man was killed in a two-vehicle crash this morning.

Around 10:15 this morning, Indiana State Police and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on County Road 1225 East near County Road 1400 North.

Preliminary investigation revealed that 58-year-old Lance parsons of Odon was driving his 2012 Chevrolet Spark south on County Road 1225 east. For unknown reasons, Parsons drove left of center at a hillcrest and collided head-on with a 2005 Pontiac Minivan traveling north.

Parsons was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

The driver of the Pontiac, 48-year-old Julie Wintergerst of Odon, was transported to IU Health Hospital Bloomington for non-life-threatening injuries. Wintergerst was wearing a seatbelt.

Assisting agencies: Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, Madison Twp Fire Department, and Daviess County Coroner’s Office.
