An Oakland City man is behind bars for stealing over $36,000 dollars from a local diner.

Indiana State Police Detectives started investigating on August 30th, after receiving information from the Mom’s Diner owner about a large amount of money missing.

54-year-old Roger Norrick was the restaurant manager and responsible for calculating daily sales and making nightly deposits.

During the investigation, ISP learned that Norrick allegedly stole over $36,000 dollars between January and August of this year.

The Gibson County Prosecutor’s Office issued a warrant for Norrick’s arrest.

Norrick was arrested Friday morning and booked into the Gibson county jail on bond, Level 6 Felony Theft.
