A Petersburg man is facing several charges after battering a juvenile.

Gibson County Sheriff Deputies responded to a residence at the 2700 Block on North State Road 65 for a disturbance.

Witnesses told police that 40-year-old Jonathan Frederick came into the residence and was asked to leave.

Police removed Frederick from the residence after a physical altercation.

After being treated for minor injuries at the scene, Frederick was booked into the Gibson County Jail and charged with residential entry, battery with injury, and battery on a person less than 14 years old.

He posted a $750 bond a short time later.
