Rick T. “Spot” Kerstiens, 51 of Fulda passed away Saturday September 21st at his home. Rick was born June 26, 1968 in Huntingburg to Dennis H. & Norma L. (Dilger) Kerstiens. He was united in marriage to Anita Bergbower on July 7, 2007 in Gatlinburg, TN.

Rick was a member of Saint Boniface Church, Fulda. He was a member of St. Meinrad Knights of Columbus # 5199. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & farming.

Surviving are his wife, Anita Kerstiens of St. Meinrad, his father, Dennis H. Kerstiens of Fulda. One step-son, Kris Bergbower of St. Meinrad. Two brothers, Randall J. (Sandra) Kerstiens of Ferdinand, and Dave Kerstiens of Jasper. Two sisters, Karen (Joe) Ketzner of Ferdinand and Debra (Stacy) Moore of Selvin. Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Norma L. Kerstiens in 2014 and a step-son, Josh McMahel.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM CST in Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda, burial will be at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the church. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
